Located in the Yamahara area in the northern part of the main island of Okinawa, there is Ogimi Village, which is famous for its "health and longevity". Among the population of about 3,200 people, there are about 80 people who are over 90 years old, and even more elderly people who are over 80 years old. There are more than 400 people! According to research by scholars, the secret of the longevity of the island residents is closely related to their healthy diet. One of the unique local fruits, Shikuwasa, is even called the "green pearl" and is the source of longevity that the locals are proud of.

Shikuwasa juice vinegar is added with brewing vinegar, which neutralizes the original sour and astringent taste of citrus. Product design concept

Ogimi Village Shikuwasa Juice Vinegar is a product developed by first grade students of Ogimi Middle School. They participated in a course jointly organized by five companies, namely "Corp Okinawa", "JA Okinawa", "Horiyau Kosan Co., Ltd.", "General Packaging Co., Ltd." and "Tamagusuku Co., Ltd.". From writing a business plan to deciding on the flavor, name, and packaging design of the product, the students planned everything hand-in-hand, thereby bringing vitality to their hometown and promoting Shikuwasa to more people.
